Parable of the Tares Bible Study

In the parable of the tares Jesus Christ tells us of the events that took place in the garden of Eden. He tells us that Satan was the father of Cain and that his children are still on earth today. In this Bible study we will learn more about Satan's offspring and what tribe they claim to be from. Let's see what Jesus Christ has to say about the events in the garden of Eden in the parable of the tares.

Matthew 13:24-30

V24 Another parable put He forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
V25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.

The tares were sowed among the wheat and while growing the tares also look like wheat.

V26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.

Wheat is golden but the tares show their true colour as they ripen. When the tares are full grown, the ears are long and the grains almost black. All the tares must be removed before grinding the wheat because they are poisonous.

V27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
V28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
V29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.
V30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

It is important to note that the servants were told to let the tares grow until the time of harvest. Why is that important you may be wondering? It is because when we read the explanation of the parable of the tares given by Jesus Christ, you will see that He is really talking about people.

Now let's read the explanation of the parable of the tares that Jesus Christ gave to His disciples.

Matthew 13:36-43

V36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and His disciples came unto Him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.
V37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
V38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

As we see here both the good seed and the tares are children. The field He is talking about is the earth. The event that Jesus Christ is talking about here is what really happened in the garden of Eden. He formed Adam and Eve, the good seed, put them in the garden and everything was good for a time. Then Adam and Eve sinned with Satan who was the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Eve became pregnant with Satan's child who was named Cain. Abel was Adam and Eve's child but Cain was Satan and Eve's child. The good seed or children are Adam and Eve's offspring starting with Seth seeing Cain murdered Abel. The tares are Satan and Eve's offspring that started with Cain. Cain's offspring live on this earth today and are know as Kenites in the Bible. Let's take a look at the definition of Kenite from the Strong's Concordance.

Kenite 7014 Qayin (kah'-yin); the same as 7013 (with a play upon the affinity to 7069); Kajin, the name of the first child, also of a place in Palestine, and of an Oriental tribe.
KJV-- Cain, Kenite (-s).

It should be noted that the Strong's Concordance tells us that the Kenites are of an Oriental tribe. That information is wrong. The Kenites are of the Caucasian race.

V39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

Jesus Christ is telling us here that Satan has his own children living on earth. As we are told in Revelation 2:8-11 and Revelation 3:7-13 Satan's children claim to be Jews but are not. The true Jewish people are from the tribe of Judah and are part of God's chosen people Israel (Genesis 49:1-28). The children of Satan claim to be of the tribe of Judah but they are lying. It is because of the Kenites that claim to be Jews that the true Jewish people have had such a hard time over the years. God knows that the Kenites are not really of the tribe of Judah and we will see what happens to them in the next verse.

V40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

Just as the tares must be removed from the wheat, on judgment day the unjust will be separated from the just.

V41 The Son of man shall send forth His angels, and they shall gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
V42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

This is looking forward to the great white throne judgement of God written of in Revelation 20:11-15 Everyone that is not in the book of life will be cast into the lake of fire.

V43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

This is looking forward to the new heaven and earth written of in Revelation 21:1 to 22:5 It will be a wonderful place that will last forever. There shall be no more tears, pain, sorrow, crying and death. Best of all is that God will dwell with us in person! The statement "Who hath ears to hear, let him hear" is for God's elect letting them know what was just said is for them.

Jesus Christ has taught us in the parable of the tares that Satan has his own children on earth today. We have also learned that Satan's children claim that they are of the tribe of Judah but they are lying. Cain was Satan's child and Cain's offspring are called the Kenites. What are God's elect to do about the Kenites? We are told in Matthew 13:27-30 to leave them alone as the angels will get them at the time of harvest.
